Today She Became a Mom

She is many things. I know no one that has as cheerful a disposition as she does. No one that has a way with people like she does. She can make the best of any situation, as easily as she makes our house a home. Today, she is not just my best friend in the entire world, or the best wife one could hope for. Today she became a mother. The mother of a beautiful healthy little baby girl. Today's a day we have both looked forward to for a while. One we've long and fervently prayed for. Today, our prayers are of thanksgiving. Thankful we are for the opportunity to be Savannah's parents in this lifetime. And as today we start the first day of the rest of our lives, I'm as sure as I have been every day in this companionship, that the best is yet to come. Our bundle of joy is 8 pounds and 10 ounces. Savannah Johari Owuor.
