Celebrating Independence Day

We had a great 4th of July celebration with some good friends from church. Thanks again Howa's for hosting a fun party! And thanks to everyone who brought yummy treats and eats. We enjoyed everything, especially the company. It was fun to see Savannah playing with the other kids and experiencing some new favorites such as watermelon (if only we had captured the juice running down her chin!), hula hoops, Capri Suns, and fireworks. Okay so the fireworks were not her most favorite but it was cute to see her watch the reaction of the kids around her and then do a delayed "Yay" in imitation. :) She would alternate holding her hands over her ears and eyes during the fireworks display - I think that the sugar rush was wearing off and she wasn't quite sure what to do at that point in the evening...we did keep her up way past bedtime. We hope that all of our loved ones had a safe and happy Independence Day wherever or however you celebrated.
