The Passing of a Prophet

I don't openly talk about my faith often though I do try to live it and sometimes questions lead to conversations. My work-mates are mostly all aware that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoy playfully teasing me about my occasional indulgence in driking Coke and/or being their designated driver on speed dial. What I found endearing though is that with the passing of President Hinckley, a man I revered as a prophet, a few friends not of my faith asked me how I was doing or had taken the news of his death. To them I say thank you for recognizing that someone of importance to me had left this world. AND to all I say what a blessing that we had his example of Christlike love and obedience. I know that he is in a much better place communing with our Father in Heaven, His son Jesus Christ, and back in the embrace of his sweet wife who went before him some three years ago. Lucky for me and others of my faith, we have the assurance that a new prophet/seer/revelator will be chosen to lead us in the path that the Father would have us go. I know that the way to the Father is only through the atonement of His son, our Savior Jesus Christ and that His gospel can be a light in this dark and troubled world.
