While we were in Houston this past weekend we got to spend some time with Family. Alex was kind enough to host us as usual. The rest of the family joined us as well. We enjoyed Alex's wonderful cooking, as we watched movies, hang out and just visited with one another. Baby Kioni is almost 16 months and is such a delight to watch. She loves to play with her uncles and aunties even though she plays bashful at first. Her vocabulary seems to be growing everyday as she tries to pick up words spoken to her by the adults.
We got the opportunity to visit with our friends the Omanga's who drove across town to come and spend time with us while we were in Houston. They are such a wonderful family with a trio of super-cute kiddos. Its amazing how fleeting the time can be. The last we were together neither of our families had any babies, and now here we are.
We got the opportunity to take more family pictures as momentos of the time we spent together, and to send some to Kenya to Mama Winnie so she can keep up with her children across the continents. We share some here as well.
There are lots of other people we were hoping to get to see but time just wasn't on our side. Hopefully we can make another trip soon. Until then know that our door is open if you are able to make a trip to the Austin area we would love to see you.
