We had the privilege of staying with Kina and Dwayne while in Houston this trip. So in the morning Alex, Kiki, and Kioni came over to unwrap presents and share a tasty breakfast. It was really fun to watch the girls unwrapping their gifts and ogling over each others fun presents. Kioni had asked Santa for a guitar and so her pink Barbie guitar was a true hit. Savannah was instantly asking for one too and lucky for us Kioni was willing to share and let her try it out.
This year I got crafty and put together these Owuor wall placards where the letters are made from photos of random items/things. It was a really cool project to do and I am really happy with how they turned out. Each household rec'd their own and each one differed slightly.

After sharing a tasty breakfast we all got ready for the day so that we could head over to the Beck-Campaz household. Reama's sweet sister Lisa and her husband Jason were hosting the Christmas Day gathering at their place. They are such great hosts and we really enjoyed ourselves there. I probably gained a few pounds from eating the delicious food.
The girls absolutely loved playing upstairs with all of Falyn and Akyra's toys. They also enjoyed dancing, singing, and watching the others girls perform.
Michael's highlight of the day was probably the caramel cake. Reama's
Mom, Deb Walker makes the most amazing cakes from scratch for the
holiday. The favorite of everyone is her Caramel Cake. Michael's heart skipped a beat when I relayed to him that Deb mentioned she would try to make him his very own next year. I
can honestly say that I haven't ever enjoyed cake until having the CC
and I come from a family of talented bakers! Deb's caramel cake is one
to look forward to all year long. It's moist, it's light, it's fluffy
and heavy, it's amazing.

We really had a great time with the extended Houston family and look forward to more fun gatherings. Thank you to the many who graciously fed, housed, and entertained us during this holiday visit. We appreciate your hospitality and the love that you share with us all.
