Lexi is in the Jr. Nursery

Somehow our baby Alexandra has reached the age of 18 months already. At 18 months old, children are welcome to attend the Jr. Nursery class during the 2nd & 3rd hours of church on Sundays. I've been looking forward to this because Lexi has not wanted to go to Sunday School or Young Womens with me for a few weeks now. She has expressed her disdain with attending my classes by being rather distracting to others, by crying or saying no repetitively to me, and walking/running down the hall to Savannah's classroom (the one with all of the toys and kids in it). No surprise that the transition of her not going versus attending Jr.Nursery has been super easy on her and me. She's in a class with only two other kids when everyone is there, so she gets lots of attention and has a lot of fun. I'm so appreciative to her teachers for letting her come a couple of weeks early (before she was of age) and for the job that they do. It's a fun calling but can also be rather stressful at times with non-verbal kids. It's been so nice to attend my classes kid-free now and truly feel the spirit as I focus on the lessons and apply them to my experiences! This is a great stage of life and motherhood to be in, no doubt about it.

I remember doing a happy dance when B could go to nursery. She loved it the first time and then realized that I wasn't going to stay with her. She cried the entire 2 hr block for the next 2 months. Now she only cries when I first drop her off and then she is good. It certainly makes my classes much more enjoyable. I am not surprised that Lexi loves her class and I hope she continues to.

Yea for you all. Its good for Lexi to have some social time of her own, and is wonderful for you to be able to feel the spirit of a meeting.
I remember those days.
