Pretty little toes

On occasion I pamper myself with a pedicure at the local nail salon. I love getting pedicures. It's relaxing. It's an hour of complete attention focused on making me feel and look better. Most times the girls have been going with me because I am a full-time Mommy. That means they are in tow everywhere I go. :-) I generally time it right to be at about lunch time so they sit in the double stroller eating then playing apps on my phone or reading books during my pamper time. Well, Savannah has been more interested the past few trips and in December she actually insisted on having her toes painted and pulled off her shoes to further her pleas to the nail technicians. They of course found her absolutely adorable and so her toes were painted a lovely shade of pink. That polish lasted maybe a week before chipping off but she continued to talk about it like it just happened yesterday. So here we are at the end of a long month and my heels are looking and feeling like rough sandpaper. Time for another pedicure.

This time we went across the street to a new salon where they have special spa chairs for kids and a DVD player is attached to the chair. Savannah sat quietly letting her little toes soak as she watched cartoons and then she waited patiently until it was her turn. This little girl who is extremely ticklish whenever I touch her feet sat perfectly still for the nail technician as she cut, filed, and painted her little toenails. It was so cute. Lexi was okay with the painting of her toes but then she was done and ready to explore. It was a fun little adventure with my girls and my good friend Tonja. I so appreciate her help always. Extra hands are always wonderful.

I have really been wanting to take Brenna but I am not sure how she will do. I might be brave after seeing this and take her. This will have to be one of our activities with the girls next time we get together!
